The Just A Minute Festival begins accepting entries on March 2, 2026. Filmmakers from around the world are invited to submit their one-minute productions for consideration. All entries must be received by 11:59pm, May 1, 2026, Eastern (U.S.) time. After this deadline, no additional submissions will be accepted.
Beginning May 10, a curated selection of the top entries, as chosen by a team of industry professionals, will begin streaming on the festival website. These films will be presented on a rotating, randomized basis, giving audiences the opportunity to discover and enjoy a wide range of creative work. Viewers will play a central role in determining the winners of the festival. To cast a vote for a film, viewers must watch the film in its entirety. Voting will remain open until 11:59PM, June 9, 2026, Eastern (U.S.) time, after which no additional votes will be counted.
Cash and other valuable prizes will be awarded to the festival’s winning filmmakers. In addition, the festival encourages audience participation by offering weekly cash prizes to voters. The more films a viewer watches and votes on, the greater their chances of winning one of these prizes.
Winners of the Just A Minute Festival will be announced by June 19, 2026.
