Winners announced in 2009 Just A Minute Festival

Winchester, MA, December 10, 2009: The filmmaking team of Stacy Boucouvalas-Gianourakos and Adam Dusenberry bested 49 other entries from 10 different countries to win the recently completed Just A Minute Festival. Their moving story of the beloved Winchester resident and mascot, Evander the cat, collected the highest number of online votes to put their short film, A Strollin' Stinky Goes, over the top in this viewers choice event. Boucouvalas-Gianourakos & Dusenberry collected $500 for their effort in a ceremony at WinCAM (Winchester Community Access and Media) on Friday, December 4, in Winchester. WinCAM was a sponsor of this event along with the Winchester Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Festival organizer Don Daniel was amazed that what started out as a local festival ended up as an international event. The website garnered over 90,000 hits from 54 countries during the festival's run. Daniel said “Get your productions done early, because the next Just A Minute Festival will be bigger and better.” All of the productions from the recent contest can be seen online at www.JustAMinute.tv.
